Coinbase Pay has been added to Aptos Labs’ Crypto Wallet

  • Aptos Labs has announced the integration of Coinbase Pay with its crypto wallet Petra, as per a Sept. 19 statement.
  • The integration will allow the users of the exchange to transact in the Aptos ecosystem seamlessly.
  • As per Aptos, this is the “next major step in Aptos Labs’ efforts to level up the web3 user experience.
  • Aptos also recently announced the integration of Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service into the Aptos network.

Aptos Labs, a firm committed to developing products and applications on the Aptos blockchain, has announced the integration of Coinbase Pay, a product offered by the largest crypto exchange in the United States under the leadership of Brian Armstrong. The goal of the integration is to streamline functionality and boost the growth of the blockchain.

As per the official announcement released on September 19, millions of the crypto exchange’s users will now be able to transact in the Aptos ecosystem with the new integration as the two firms seek to bring the next billion users to the Web3 space. Petra, the official crypto wallet released by Aptos, will be integrating with Coinbase Pay, allowing users to easily get APT and join the Aptos ecosystem.

“Coinbase’s easy-to-use fiat on-ramp that makes exchanging value within the Aptos ecosystem super simple whether you’re using Petra on your mobile device or browser. With global payment options from PayPal to direct checking, now you can get APT–your way,” read the announcement.

The integration of Petra and Coinbase Pay has been described as the “next major step in Aptos Labs’ efforts to level up the web3 user experience,” allowing users to “add APT to Petra seamlessly through their choice of bank, debit card, credit card, and even their Coinbase account balance.”

This announcement from Aptos is one of many in the past few months wherein firms are trying to smoothen their APIs and enhance their features to attract new users amid drying liquidity in the crypto sector due to regulatory issues.

It is also important to mention here that Aptos announced the integration of tech giant Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service into the Aptos network, setting the stage “for exciting opportunities in web3 exploration and development.”

On the other hand, as reported earlier by Bitnation, Coinbase is also trying to expand its user base and has announced the integration of the Bitcoin Lightning Network for BTC enthusiasts. The US-based firm has joined other crypto exchanges like Binance, Bitfinex, and Kraken to offer Lightning Network services to users.
