PGA TOUR, renowned organizer of the main professional golf tours played by men in the United States and North America, has joined hands with Tom Brady’s Web3 company, Autograph, to create a comprehensive “digital collectibles” NFT platform.

According to a recent announcement, the long-term deal aims to revolutionize golf fandom by “allowing fans to own a token of PGA TOUR’s stories and history and “celebrate their love for the game.”

The PGA TOUR and Autograph will collaborate to develop a digital collectibles platform using video, data, images, and other competition-related elements from TOUR competitions, the announcement states. Golf enthusiasts will have the chance to buy and collect NFTs that include some of their greatest moments from history as well as the current FedExCup Season and the best PGA TOUR golfers in the globe. The golf tour organizer further reveals that the collectors will have the opportunity to earn rewards with a wide range of utility, including access to exclusive digital, onsite, and in-person experiences, among various other program benefits.

The TOUR aims to launch its exclusive NFT Digital Collectibles Platform in early 2023. Len Brown, the Chief Legal Officer at PGA TOUR commented on the new plans and stated that the two entities are aiming to highlight “the most talented golfers in the world and their role in the sport’s history.”

“The TOUR is continuously looking for innovative ways to engage fans to bring them closer to the game and their favorite players, so we’re thrilled to start building the future of golf fandom with the Autograph team,”

He further added.

On the other hand, the co-founder and co-chairman of the board at Autograph, Richrad Rosenblatt, highlighted his company’s commitment to expand its roster of partners.

“Over the last year, we have defined the future of fandom by leveraging NFT technology to bring fans closer to the icons they love across sports, music and entertainment and each other. We look forward to unlocking new potential and offering our community exclusive access to the PGA TOUR team through this partnership,”

Rosenblatt continued.

American football quarterback Tom Brady’s Autograph has been solidifying its position in the crypto industry with the new partnerships and plans. In October last year, the company decided to add FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and multiple times Grammy winner Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, to its Board of Directors.
