According to an announcement earlier this week, the firm behind the world’s first dedicated Web3 browser, Opera, has confirmed the debut of a new NFT analytics, tracking, and exploration tool called DegenKnows, which has the capability of helping “users seamlessly discover, track, and verify digital collectibles.” This comes at a time when the popularity of non-fungible tokens has declined by a huge margin, and the prices have also collapsed.

“Our aim with the Opera Crypto Browser is to provide a portal into Web3 at its fullest. From browsing dApps to using their funds, our users can explore Web3 from the safe environment of a user-friendly browser by a trusted brand,” said Susie Batt, Crypto Ecosystem Lead at Opera.

This is one of the first tools that aims to push for Web3 adoption and also, introduces “next-generation tools dedicated to users interested in exploring the decentralized space.” Additionally, the new tool is aimed at NFT aficionados, newcomers, and traders and is capable of analyzing both on-and-off-chain insights, helping investors to time their investments and save themselves with potential losses.

According to the Opera announcement, DegenKnows will allow NFT enthusiasts get a glimpse of some of the most popular NFT projects along with charts that will depict the popularity of a project. Furthermore, the tool will also help NFT enthusiasts with figuring out scams by combining on-chain and off-chain data which includes data from social media sources, as well as an analysis of the team behind the NFT project.

Today, with DegenKnows, we are giving them an innovative tool to explore and understand the world of NFTs and perhaps spot the next big project ahead of others,” Batt said.

Users can gain access to data such as insights into the project’s team info including number of social media followers, active member number, and total mentions over 24 hours. Furthermore, Opera’s new tool will also serve as “a curated content feed for each project that allows users to catch the most important posts without time-consuming research.”

As a result, using the Web3 browser’s NFT tool, traders will also get to know if a project’s community is real or consists of bots. Interestingly, once the DegenKnows project figures out the scams and research on a given project has been done, users can utilize DegenKnows to set reminders for raffles and mints.
