Deloitte Signals Interest in Crypto with Multiple Job Openings

  • Circle hired Deloitte to audit its proof-of-reserve in January.
  • The job listing signals Deloitte’s growing interest in Web3.
  • LinkedIn has currently received over 1,000 applications for the various job roles from various locations.

Top accounting firm Deloitte, which primarily offers audit, consultancy, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and legal services, is actively looking for people with experience in cryptocurrencies to join their team, according to recent updates on LinkedIn. Searches on LinkedIn show that the accounting firm had over 300 available positions for crypto experts, and all were posted a week ago.

Some of the crypto-related job titles include Blockchain and Digital Assets Manager (which has openings in 97 different locations across the US), Tax Manager, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency (available in 18 U.S. locations), and Tax Manager, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency in NFTs (available in three US locations).

According to the job listing, the tasks associated with the position of a Blockchain and Digital Assets Manager include providing services such as financial statement audits, internal controls tailored to blockchain and digital assets, audit readiness for blockchain and digital asset transactions, IPO readiness and SEC reporting services, SPAC transactions, and accounting advisory services for digital asset transactions.

Candidates for the position of tax manager will lead teams that offer tax consulting and compliance services to a variety of clients, including those in the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors. Among other things, the duties include guiding customers through the process of forming legal entities and conducting trades and token analysis.

The job listings represent Deloitte’s continuous interest in and support of Web3 and cryptocurrency. The accounting giant has kept tabs on the crypto industry, and earlier this year, it struck a collaboration with Web3 platform Vato to provide thrilling experiences to different sectors. Deloitte has also worked with other notable crypto firms, such as Circle. The stablecoin issuer hired Deloitte to audit its proof-of-reserves in January.
