L'un des principaux échanges cryptographiques de l'industrie qui a été fortement touché par la course à l'ours du marché de la cryptographie en 2022, Bybit, envisage l'expansion des opérations au Kazakhstan, une région connue pour fournir le plus de mineurs de cryptographie après les États-Unis. Fait intéressant, l'échange cryptographique a confirmé qu'il avait reçu l'approbation préalable de l'Autorité des services financiers d'Astana du Kazakhstan (AFSA), l'organisme de réglementation indépendant du Centre financier international d'Astana (AIFC) chargé de maintenir la sécurité et la robustesse du système financier de l'AIFC. 

Selon rapports, the crypto trading platform announced that the AFSA has pre-approved Bybit to operate as a digital asset trading facility and as a custody services provider at the AIFC. Additionally, the firm recently received in-principle approval from authorities as well. This means that the company is subject to “pre-conditions,” which will then allow it to be transformed into a permanently authorized crypto exchange in Kazakhstan, permitting it to serve locals after the completion of the application. 

However, Ben Zhou, the co-founder and CEO of the crypto exchange, stated that he believes in the “promising potential” of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a regional intergovernmental organization in Eurasia, as a region for growth in the crypto industry.

En outre, le PDG de Bybit a également souligné l'importance de se conformer aux réglementations locales après que son entreprise a été interpellée par les régulateurs japonais pour avoir opéré dans la région sans enregistrement. Zhou a déclaré que l'échange s'efforcera de se conformer aux lois locales, tout en ajoutant :

De plus, il est important de noter que Bybit est en train d'étendre ses services et ses offres après l'hiver 2022 du marché de la cryptographie. Il a été révélé le 2 mai que l'échange de crypto offrira aux utilisateurs des services de prêt de crypto dans le but de capitaliser sur le vide laissé par la faillite de la plate-forme de prêt populaire Celsius Network. 

Comme indiqué précédemment par Bitnation, le processeur de paiement américain populaire Mastercard a conclu un nouveau partenariat avec Bybit qui verrait l'échange crypto lancer une nouvelle carte de débit qui prendrait en charge les paiements et les retraits des avoirs cryptographiques existants. La carte de débit sera émise par Moorwand, qui tirera parti du réseau Mastercard pour permettre des transactions basées sur le fiat en débitant les avoirs en crypto-monnaie lorsqu'ils sont utilisés pour payer des articles ou des services.

During the crypto winter of 2022, the crypto exchange laid off a significant number of employees and reduced operational costs. The firm’s pre-approval in Kazakhstan suggests a rising interest in crypto firms in the region, which has set its eyes on regulating the industry. The National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) is working on the launch of its central bank digital currency (CBDC), called the tenge numérique.
