FTX-CEO sluit deal met Justin Sun van Tron

• Er was nog steeds een gat van $8 miljard op de FTX-balans die de beurs moest opvullen en volgens gelekte chats nam Sam Bankman-Fried, de oprichter en CEO van de op de Bahama's gebaseerde beurs, contact op met de oprichter van Tron (TRX) blockchain , Justin Zon.

Binance, the world’s biggest crypto exchange, backed out of its deal with its rival exchange FTX and weigerde het bedrijf over te nemen after going through its balance sheet. The exchange’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, stated that as a result of corporate due diligence, as well as the latest news reports regarding mishandled customer funds and alleged U.S. agency investigations, they are not going through with the purchase.

However, there was still an $8 billion hole on its balance sheet that FTX had to fill and as per leaked chats, Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and CEO of the Bahamas-based exchange, reached out to the founder of Tron (TRX) blockchain, Justin Sun. Meanwhile, Sun announced via his official Twitter account that he stands behind all Tron token (TRX, BTT, JST, SUN, HT) holders on FTX, and added that his team is “putting together a solution together with FTX to initiate a pathway forward.”

Sun added that “the ongoing liquidity crunch, despite short term in nature, is harmful to the industry development and investors alike.” He confirmed that his team has been “working around the clock to avert further deterioration” and gezegd that he has “faith that the situation is manageable following the wholistic approach together with our partners.”

Interessant is dat de oprichter van Tron niet de exacte betrokkenheid bij FTX heeft onthuld, maar heeft bevestigd dat hij binnenkort de lucht zal klaren. Echter, gelekt bericht op FTX Slack dat was ontvangen en geverifieerd door prominente crypto-persoonlijkheid op Twitter, Cobie, bevestigde dat Bankman-Fried, ook bekend als SBF in de crypto-ruimte, in gesprek was met Sun om geld in te zamelen en dat het voor volgende week wordt vermeld.

Verder blijkt uit de gelekte chat:

“I don’t want to give any sense of confidence in what will happen, and don’t want to imply anything about the odds of success here. But, for the next week, this will be my top priority.”

Interestingly, the Twitter post from Justin Sun caused Tron tokens such as – TRX, BTT, SUN, and JST – to briefly rocketed 4,000%, from 6 cents to $2.5, on SBF’s platform.

Bovendien is het ook cruciaal om op te merken dat Sun in juli van dit jaar verklaarde dat hij tot $5 miljard heeft om noodlijdende cryptobedrijven te helpen. Ironisch genoeg is deze trend door SBF zelf gestart en het lijkt erop dat hij de zaken te ver ging en nu staat de ooit 2e gerangschikte uitwisseling in de crypto-ruimte op de 69e positie in de ruimte.

Update

FTX bevestigd de deal met Justin Sun volgens welke een speciale faciliteit zal worden opgericht om houders van TRX, BTT, JST, SUN en HT in staat te stellen activa van FTX 1:1 om te wisselen naar externe portefeuilles.
