While the concept of a Web3 seems appealing to most tech gurus and businessmen, Microsoft founder Bill Gates appears unimpressed. Gate isn’t convinced about the importance of Web3 or the fascination with NFTs. The billionaire believes the technology is not revolutionary.

The Microsoft founder repeatedly referred to AI as the most exciting technology of the present moment while speaking about current tech trends in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. Gates also had good words for “generative AI,” which is the part of artificial intelligence that creates content. He expressed his delight in the new AI innovation ChatGPT, adding that the product “gives a glimpse of what is to come.”

He also expressed his admiration for how virtual reality technology enhances the experience of online meetings. The business magnate has, however, made it clear that he disapproves of criptomoedas e NFT.
Microsoft has been making inroads into the metaverse in a bid to actualize Gate’s predictions about virtual meetings. The tech giant made its meeting apps accessible on Meta devices and helped form the Metaverse Standards Forum alongside Meta, Alibaba, and Sony.
